Hello! Thank you for visiting my Path profile. I am Ellen Jones, LCSW; a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York with over 20 years of experience in mental health. I graduated with a Doctorate of Social Work from Capella University, a Master of Social Work from Marywood University, and an undergraduate degree from the State University of NY-Suny Empire. My experience as a social worker encompasses ages from 5 to 99 years old. I have diverse experience in a variety of treatment settings.
I specialize in working with teens and adults coping with life stressors related to personal relationships, life changes, work-related issues, stress/anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma.
For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a therapist. Social work is a field that allows me to work with people in ways that helps them to develop insight and awareness and become the best version of themselves - overcoming life challenges, building on their strengths, and finding meaning and purpose for their lives.
