Therapy is an important first step. Finding a therapist who is the best possible fit for you is an essential part of that process. I provide sound, sensible strategies and tools in a caring, comfortable, confidential environment for children, teens and adults. My experience base is in helping individuals deal with stress, developmental challenges and life transitions as well as cope with depression, anxiety, emotions and trauma. Blending cognitive behavioral and interpersonal therapy, and attachment theory in my work, I help clients develop individualized, effective coping tools that transfer over into their everyday lives.
I began my work as a therapist 20 years ago treating children and teens but found my style and experience to be helpful to adults seeking therapeutic assistance. Obtaining my advanced degrees in Psychology at Syracuse University gave me greater understanding of how our families and family dynamics shape us as people.
I completed my internship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC which provided me the unique opportunity to work with families from diverse backgrounds in outpatient and inpatient treatment.
