As a Counselor, I will work hard to help clients gain insight into both past and present experiences in order to empower themselves to make informed choices that lead to meaningful change. Talk therapy can be either in-person or online. I will accommodate what is most comfortable for my clients. I also offer Neurofeedback in my practice. Neurofeedback is a brain training technique that has been shown to be safe and effective for over 30 years. It is a form of biofeedback that offers the brain information about its own electrical activity, which has a profound impact on an individual's stress response.
There are many symptoms that can indicate that a nervous system is having a stress reaction, such as stress/anxiety, insomnia, sleep regulation, depression, headaches/migraines, brain injuries, memory and focus, and mood disorders. Aside from symptom management, many people see out Neurofeedback for peak performance situations successfully.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in NC (and LPC in SC). I am a Board Certified Neurotherapist by the Natural Therapies Certification Board (NTCB) and Othmer Method Certified in Neurofeedback. I started my career in 2002 as a school counselor.
