Hi, there! My name is Elizaida Velez-Olan and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) established in North Carolina, working with clients statewide via telehealth. As with any relationship I like to put effort into building a strong rapport and trust with my clients. My approach ensures a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. I also emphasize the importance of individual well-being, guiding the client to have balance and satisfaction in all areas of life.
Goals are established according to the client’s needs, desires, readiness, and resources. There is special attention to what the client wants to accomplish in the time together in sessions, identifying areas of need and prioritizing those that affect the client's functioning the most.
During the first mental health therapy session, clients can expect a warm and supportive environment where they can share their reasons for seeking therapy, personal history, and current concerns. I will also take the time to explain the therapy process, discuss confidentiality, and address any questions or concerns the client may have.
