I am Liz Walker, a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with over 10 years of experience. I specialize in helping people who have experienced complex trauma, as well as those dealing with depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and the impact of childhood experiences on current behaviors. I have worked closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, people in recovery from addiction, parents or those hoping to become parents, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness.
I hold a Master's in Developmental Psychology/Infant Mental Health from Mills College and a Master's in Counseling from The Wright Institute. In my practice, I frequently use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, attachment-based therapy, and motivational interviewing.
I truly believe in meeting people where they are. By building healthy, caring relationships in our sessions, I provide clients with practical examples and skills they can take into the world.
