Licensed Professional Counselor, MEd, LPC, NCC
This clinical supervision group is for therapists (counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists) pursuing their licensure. We meet monthly on Wednesdays, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, to review cases as a group, discuss critical issues in mental health, and explore various theoretical orientations and how to implement them in practice. Elizabeth Venart specializes in bringing a trauma-informed lens to case conceptualization, assisting supervisees in understanding their clients - and where their clients get stuck - at a deep level and developing clinical skills and treatment plans that make a real difference.
This group is for therapists who have already taken EMDR Basic Training and are interested in pursuing EMDR Certification and/or in deepening their knowledge and understanding of EMDR in practice. Includes case presentation and review of EMDR standard protocols as well as discussion of complex trauma and challenging issues that arise in EMDR therapy. Special focus on case conceptualization and developing a comprehensive treatment plan that not only addresses symptoms but helps moves clients more surely towards deeper self-compassion and post traumatic growth. Participation requires a minimum six-month commitment.
