My name is Elizabeth Truax and I go by Leanne. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in central Arkansas. My approach to therapy is person-centered and focused on providing my clients with the support, care, and tools needed to find relief from emotional pain. I specialize in working with adults experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, as well as communication and relationship issues. I firmly believe therapy can help everyone. Sometimes life gets messy. Sometimes our lives take turns we never expected. This can cause us to feel unequipped to cope with the resulting painful emotions.
I typically see adults struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, needing to reduce stress in healthy ways, needing help navigating relationships, wanting to improve communication, or who need to work through traumatic experiences. I always say, "Life happens and therapy helps!"
My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet the individual needs of each client. I use an eclectic mix of approaches and tools including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to walk alongside my clients in reaching the goals they want to achieve for their lives.
