About
As a licensed mental health therapist with 15 years of practice experience, I place tremendous value on getting to know my clients and their therapeutic goals. I tailor my approach to each individual, and strive to establish a comfortable, open and safe environment in which clients learn, grow and implement change. I work primarily with teenagers, young adults and adults seeking support around grief, postpartum, depression and/or anxiety.
I employ a Psychodynamic approach, along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) as my primary framework. I aim to understand clients' emotions, thoughts, life experiences and beliefs, and then seek to reframe perspectives to create healthier processes and actions.
Depending on a client's specific needs and interests, I also employ Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and other holistic modalities. I find my clients respond well to my supportive demeanor and positive energy. My primary goal is to help my clients feel better. I received my BS from Vanderbilt University and my dual Masters from NYU.
