Welcome! My name is Elizabeth Sorenson. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (147037) in California. I focus primarily on what the client is experiencing in their day-to-day life and help to connect past experiences impacting their life today.
I provide trauma informed psychotherapy practices including EMDR, DBT, and psychodynamic modalities to assist in treating the present. I do however tailor sessions to the client’s needs. With these approaches, an existential framework helps to work specifically with distress in the now.
I have always wanted to help others. My personal experiences seem to aid my ability to help others find meaning, relief, and happiness. My clients drive my dedication in this field and I am always so honored to be in my role as their therapist.
