About
I believe therapy is a collaborative process in which we will work together to determine your goals and then achieve them. Because I work both cognitive-behaviorally and psychodynamically, I am able to work with you on two different, but both very important levels depending on your goals. On one level, I can help you simply feel better and improve your coping skills. And on another level, and to the extent to which you are interested in doing so, I can help you understand the deeper roots of your symptoms and life patterns.
I work with adults and adolescents in individual psychotherapy and couples counseling. I treat individuals dealing with everything from depression and anxiety disorders, to addictions. I have extensive training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Cognitive-Behavioral psychotherapy. I also have significant experience with Relapse Prevention Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
My office is located within walking distance of the University of Wisconsin campus and I have a large number of college students in my practice. While I like to work face to face, I have recently begun practicing tele therapy when appropriate and necessary with folks who live in distant locations.
