About
I am a generalist, and my practice includes adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Clients approach me for a wide range of issues and concerns, which can include interpersonal or relationship problems, family conflict, grief, transitions, depression, anxiety, and the recovery from trauma or abuse. I also see individuals who simply want to live happier or more fulfilling lives. My therapeutic orientation is flexible and integrative. Most often, I utilize emotion-focused, relational, experiential, and somatic techniques. However, I ultimately strive to work in a way that optimally matches my clients' unique needs.
I am genuine, warm, transparent and collaborative. I am also deeply invested in creating a clinical relationship that balances safety and connection with appropriate challenge. My hope is that the therapeutic relationship can provide a foundation as clients embark on the often difficult process of healing, growth and change.
Finally, I am convinced that therapy should provide more than insight and understanding alone. In session, I help my clients experience the possibility of feeling, interacting, or behaving in more effective and fulfilling ways. New experiences in session open the possibility for deep change in life outside of therapy.
