Hello, my name is Elizabeth Santos, and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience. I am here to support you on your journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal transformation. I provide a collaborative and safe space for my clients to be heard and validated as we work through life challenges, stressors, and trauma. I utilize innovative culturally/spiritually grounded practices and experiential clinical modalities based on a trauma-informed and attachment/relationship-based lens.
I have a great deal of experience helping individuals deal with mental health and physical issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, work burnout/stress, grief/loss, and relationship issues. My therapy communication style is aimed at creating a safe environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
During our first session, it is important for me to understand your presenting issue(s) and your commitment to the therapeutic process. This all begins with establishing trust and a collaborative alliance which can take up to 2-4 weeks. I describe this initial phase of therapy as the engagement/interviewing stage.
