My name is Elizabeth Pasipanodya, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with adults (18+) who are in the state of California through telehealth. I use evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure, and mindfulness-based therapy. Common to these approaches is a present-focus and collaboration where we will work towards your goals for therapy.
We will also add to your toolbox of coping skills that you will draw from to manage your emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships now while you are in therapy and later on whenever you may need them. Central to any relationship, including a therapeutic one, is rapport. Thus, I strive to be warm, genuine, and to connect in session.
Many of the clients who see me are facing challenges with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, stress, poor sleep, or difficult life transitions. Additionally, I have clinical and research expertise in health psychology, working with individuals who are adapting to significant changes in their physical health or disability status.
