About
I work with all ages, individuals, couples and families using experiential therapies (Art, Biofeedback and Qeeg guided Neurofeedback) and more traditional talk therapies (Cognitive Behavioral Methods) so that you can learn more about yourself and others, live well, feel content and achieve what you desire. My clients describe me as having a creative, easy going and gentle style.
Art Therapy gives the right brain/nonverbal side of us a way to express feelings through creative images. We paint, draw, make and fire ceramic clay objects. The process of art-making goes along side by side with relaxation skill-building. Learning how the way you think about and appraise situations gives you choices about how you respond emotionally.
I show and encourage self-acceptance. Instead of fighting with or feeling bad about symptoms you have, you learn what causes them and learn skills that bring relaxed control. We don't just talk, although we do talk things through. You learn specific skills that gradually put you in charge of how you feel. Working with your doctor, we help reduce meds.
