The thought of meeting with a therapist can be intimidating, and I pride myself in my clients describing me as being very down to earth and easy to talk with. Most individuals who have never pursued therapy before are pleasantly surprised at how much they enjoy this relationship. I work with Willis (Great Pyrenees/Great Dane) who is an AKC Canine Good Citizen and registered Therapy Dog through Alliance of Therapy Dogs. He is available to be present during appointments if desired.
While some problems have concrete solutions, often it is a matter of figuring out how to get through the painful situations in life; not to solve the problem but learn to find peace and acceptance in it, and determine what it means for your life as you move forward. I value self discovery and self compassion during difficult times.
I work with individual adults, especially college students/young adults, those with grief/loss, life transitions, and survivors of abuse/trauma. I am a strong ally of the LGBTQ+ community. Willis and I hope to provide you a safe and comfortable space to be and process in. It's my goal for you to find acceptance with me and ultimately for yourself. Welcome.
