For over 15 years, I've worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor in various capacities, including as a psychotherapist with individual and couples as well as working as part of community-based teams. I have experience helping children, adolescents and adults with a variety of concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorder and schizophrenia. I also enjoy working with individuals who are simply looking to understand themselves better.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, psychodynamic and integrative, and aims to increase self-awareness, explore and understand relationship patterns as well as develop healthier thought and behavior patterns. Many people I've worked with have experienced some type of trauma.
This guided me to complete training in EMDR therapy (I'm currently in the process of becoming certified), which is an evidence-based treatment for trauma/PTSD and other disorders.
