My specialty is assessing and managing ADD, in children, adolescents and adults. I have walked the walk in raising a son with ADD and anxiety and that has given me immeasurable understanding that didn't come from any psychology texts. I also work well with adults and teens with depression, anxiety and situational and relationship issues. Though my practice includes teens and children, I also very much enjoy seeing adults.
I am down to earth and practical and not overly intellectual. I find that therapy is often about life experience and not something that comes out of a formula. It is about making connections in one's mind and emotional understanding about the life experience that someone else reveals.
I also do psycho-educational evaluations and am on almost every managed care plan to use whatever benefits are available for your child. Almost all the children I see could benefit from having some type of evaluation, even if they are not having problems at school.
