I am a licensed professional counselor and art therapist. I am a psychotherapist, solution-focused, person-centered, and mindful. I use a heart-centered approach and at times may use art and imagination in working with you. I look forward to working together to create a plan in order to reach your goal(s). By asking questions about what they would like to accomplish. Then providing or suggesting several options that are specific to their needs. I may suggest homework, worksheets, journaling, or art. Finally, work together to find the best solution and work on the most important goal first.
I create an approachable, relaxed, and calm environment with a casual approach. I allow the clients to express themselves by asking open-ended questions. I sometimes use active imagination, visual techniques, breathing, or journaling at the beginning of sessions. At times sessions can become quite informative and reflective.
To feel safe. To know the therapist can provide empathy and compassion and that they are heard and feel validated. To be able to connect and be comfortable. To believe someone is guiding and supporting their accomplishments and encouraging them to achieve their goals.
