About
As a therapist, I come from a place of compassion and empathy. Together with my clients, we identify what is getting in the way of achieving a healthy, happy lifestyle and what changes could be made in order to achieve it. Clients will adopt new coping skills based on their own beliefs and values in order to improve overall functioning and quality of life.
My areas of expertise are anxiety, anger management, grief, parenting, life transitions, and relationship counseling (with or without partner). I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and aspects of Dialectal Behavioral Therapy in my work among many other approaches.
If you are new to therapy, forget what you see on tv and movies. There is no psycho-analyzing and most people don't lay on the couch (although you can if you want!). My office is cozy and safe. We laugh a lot and we problem-solve so that you can live the life you want and deserve.
