My trauma informed approach is relational and person-centered in nature. I honor the importance of meaning making in therapy and see the task of therapy as facilitating fuller movement into connection and relationship with self and others.
I utilize EMDR and IFS as well as experiential techniques (e.g. sand tray) and mindfulness/meditation. During treatment, my aim is to empower the client and help in building a more compassionate inner voice while enforcing safe boundaries with self and others.
I strive to bring authenticity, genuineness, and mutual empathy into the therapeutic relationship and to honor the fact that the process of counseling takes great courage. I look forward to potentially hearing from you.
