About
Hi! I’m Elizabeth and am so glad you are here looking for a safe space to heal and process life. I support adults and adolescents (16+) navigating anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral issues, and trauma recovery. I specialize in therapy for attachment & relationship dynamics, trauma & abuse, and perinatal mood & anxiety disorders for expectant and postpartum parents.
My therapy style is client-centered and attachment-based, integrating individualized therapeutic approaches. I value cultural humility, understanding power imbalances in systems and relationships. As a PMH-C specialist, I have advanced training and experience working with pregnancy, postpartum, adoption, and related adjustment and attachment issues.
The journey of healing is the bravest path to walk; with safety, dignity, and courage you’ll be empowered in this most sacred work. We’ll explore wounds that may impact your view of self and how you relate to others. We’ll collaborate to identify needs, set goals, and implement strategies that will lead to greater self-compassion and healthy relationships.

Elizabeth J. Burton's Groups
Loss of Parent Grief Processing
The early, anticipated, or unexpected loss of a parent is like a disease that invades every aspect of our lives. This small therapeutic group will create safety + space for sharing. Grief both disrupts everything and provides the opportunity to deepen our understanding of self + the world around us. While suffering is inevitable, doing so in isolation is intolerable. Disclaimer: This is a closed group specific to individuals who have lost a parent/parent-figure/guardian + only offered to current/former/new clients who've established care. This group was developed to meet the needs of the provider's client population.
