My work involves providing therapeutic support for autistic people, their partners, and parents. I have been doing this work for sixteen years, and have found that mothers and wives of my clients often face significant challenges. For some, these challenges sometimes include their roles as partners or parents, but even moreso, they have to do with finding their place in a world that doesn't support their development and growth. Roles become the most important defining feature expected of them. Helping clients heal their trauma, and find their own, unique paths in life, is work that I find enormously fulfilling.
I am a Certified Autism Disorder Clinical Specialist, with extensive professional and personal experience, so I understand the difficulties autism presents in the world we live in today. I also have training in relationship skills, anxiety, and trauma.
Before my licensure, I had experience working with patients with dementia, people on hospice, and the bereaved. This gave me a good foundation for understanding the importance of living a well balanced life that makes room for us to be our true and unique selves.

Moms of Gender Variant Autistic Adult Children
This group is for mothers of adult autistic children ages 15-35, who are transgender or gender variant. It is a therapeutic support group for participants interested in providing a nurturing, supportive foundation for their children as they enter adulthood. Schedule a free, online consultation to learn more. When filled, this group will meet one Tuesday evening per month, from 6:00-7:30, at my Golden Valley office. The fee is $50 per session.
