I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have experience working with a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, women's issues, and relationship issues. I believe in creating a safe and accepting environment where clients can feel comfortable and empowered to confront their personal barriers to wellness. I also believe that the relationship between the client and therapist is the cornerstone to a successful therapeutic encounter, and very much approach therapy from a client-centered perspective. You, the client, steer the direction of therapy and find self-discovery through therapeutic encouragement and support.
I work with clients of all ages, but utilize play therapy when working with young children. Through the therapeutic powers of play children are able to become more self-aware, self-reliant, and self-resilient. Play therapy provides a supportive environment where children address their personal challenges and benefit therapeutically.
I am also certified in teletherapy via the Louisiana LPC Board and am available to provide teletherapy services to all clients residing in Louisiana.
