About
Are you overwhelmed by substance use, including alcohol or marijuana overuse, and is it creating problems for you? I help people with alcohol and drug issues begin to live better lives. I can help you begin to address these problems and find a way out of the pain and despair. I provide a safe environment, free from judgment, to deal with your drug and alcohol use. I can help whether you want to quit completely or cut down and control your drinking or using. If you are already in recovery, I respect and support your efforts as you participate in therapy. I work with couples struggling around addiction issues in their relationship.
I am an experienced therapist, including working at Kaiser Permanent CDRP. I believe in both the abstinence-based and harm-reduction models. Sobriety/recovery is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. I honor the way therapy and recovery dovetail to support you in your healing, change, and growth, and I will support you in dealing with life on life's terms.
I believe every person has the potential for change. I have witnessed tremendous growth and healing, whether it is around anxiety, depression or substance issues. I feel privileged to help everyone who I see - virtually or in person. If you are ready to feel relief, I'd welcome the opportunity to discuss how I can help you create a better life. LGBTQ+ allied
