Hi, I’m Elizabeth DeAngelis, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in NYC. I hold an Ed.M. in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to process emotions and explore both past and present stressors. I specialize in helping individuals understand how early attachment patterns and trauma impact their current relationships and emotional well-being. Together, we can work toward improving relationships, building self-compassion, healing from trauma, and developing skills to support a more fulfilling life.

I specialize in helping adults navigate past trauma, attachment issues, and repetitive patterns that persist despite self-awareness. I understand how we can understand something on a logical level, but still not emotionally be able to process and create meaningful change in our lives.

I believe a strong therapeutic alliance is at the heart of effective psychotherapy. I view therapy as a collaborative process—because it’s through relationships that healing happens.
