Applying emotionally focused therapy to restore a partner/family relationship, cognitive behavioral +mind/body approaches to change thinking/improve your mood, or using EMDR or Brainspotting to resolve trauma and its effects, we discover together ways to MEND your mind, body and spirit.
Losses, whether "typical" and acknowledged by others, or invalidated and borne in isolation, can hinder your ability to live fully. I help individuals navigate transitions, face challenges, and heal from the pain of relational disappointments. I help persons to courageously face depression or anxiety, and to resiliently heal from trauma.
I facilitate Brainspotting, and am also trained in EMDR, an evidence-based treatment for PTSD/trauma, whether "big T" traumas (rape,abuse,natural disasters, accidents) or "small T" traumas (bullying, dysregulated/inattentive parent, neglect, betrayal, rejection). If need to be seen within 48 hours, a full-time therapist is a better choice.
