I look forward to meeting new clients - people who are ready to make life changes. My approach is to help others become aware of what triggers their negative feelings of rejection, abandonment, anger and hurt. Together we explore ways to eliminate unwanted behaviors and to learn positive ways to relate to others. I will help you on a road of self-discovery as you learn to identify and to understand your feelings and their origins. I like to do all of this with a sense of humor and positive reinforcement. I enjoy being with people on their journey.
I have been working in mental health and addiction treatment for over 30 years. I have a Post Masters Specialty Certificate in Substance Abuse and hold the highest credentials in substance abuse treatment. I am interested in helping others find comfort in their recovery, mentally and spiritually.
I am mother and grandmother; we have teachers, artists/musicians, and spiritual leaders in my family. Inter-dependency is important to me, we need each other in order to learn and grow. I believe communication requires truth, trust, empathy, and love. My late husband taught me to share my feelings, to compromise and to practice improvising when needed.
