It is my goal with each individual to build a strong therapeutic relationship where the client can feel accepted for who they are and experience empathy, genuineness, and the safety needed to explore their most challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My typical theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but I also believe that it is necessary, at times, to draw from other orientations and therapies in order to provide the best care possible for my clients.
I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I have received training in trauma therapy for children and adolescents, and have provided counseling services throughout my career to individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, mood disorders, autism, bereavement, and developmental disabilities.
It takes courage and strength to reach out for help from others and I strive to do my best to ensure that every client receives the individualized care that they are seeking. I look forward to helping and working with each of my clients to reach their goals!
