The variety and depth of problems we encounter in living our lives can be overwhelming. I know from both my practice and my life, that we can learn new ways to handle the difficult events and situations that life hands us: depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, loss and grief, questions of identity, body image, trauma concerns and others. As your psychologist, I will listen closely to you. I will value and respect who you are, where you come from, what your concerns are and what your goals are- whether these are problems- in -living or long term psychological concerns.
I use an integrative approach of relational-cultural, cognitive-behavioral, and feminist therapy. My approach helps adolescents and adults of all ages, genders and situations to manage emotions, solve relational problems, adjust to changing circumstances and move forward in their lives.
This approach is collaborative. We work together to develop the best plan for your concerns. Together we explore your social and cultural identities as well as psychological perspectives on mental health. Gender, race/ethnicity, class, sexuality, age and other life factors are valued and integrated into our work together.
