About
I welcome the chance to work with you. I provide a safe emotional space, where you can very gradually talk about some of your worries.I imagine you might find it hard to trust a stranger, you may be wondering how talking, or drawing can make a difference in your life. I will listen to you. Life presents challenges, you may need help in doing the work of not repeating old, destructive patterns. Together we will embark on a creative journey towards health, growth, healing and lessening of fears that hold you back from experiencing joy in your daily life.
I am a trained Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, and a Board Certified Art Therapist, (NBCC), 20+ years experience. Old traumas can impinge on present life.I will help you gradually mourn what is past, attend to various feeling states, while moving to accept the present, and still hold dreams for the future.
As an artist and a Therapist, I understand the tension of living a creative life while paying attention to the realities of daily living. You are welcome to bring your creative work to the session. Art material is available if you wish to create within the therapy session.

Liberating the Creative Instinct
We will uncover hurdles and pitfalls that may hold back your dreams of painting, drawing, and writing. Please be prepared to bring in work that you would like to present for discussion. A supportive atmosphere is a must.
Supervisioin of Art Therapists
My thoughts on supervision have evolved over many years. As the profession of Art Therapy finds its footing, my supervision is conducted in a more dynamic way, processing transference and countertransference issues. Client's art can be seen as a messenger of the therapist/client session. We will think together about it's meaning and effects.
