Anxiety and trauma can consume your life and energy. Often people want to get help but are unsure where to go or who to see. Managing anxiety is, in my opinion, is a multi-disciplinary and holistic approach to developing cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness and self-care skills while cultivating important aspects of your life and letting go of others that don't serve you. Managing anxiety is also the process of developing an intense curiousity about what life would be like without worry and fear and developing a healthy sense of humor. I know...because I walked this path myself.
Anxiety sufferers can have difficulty in setting healthy boundaries resulting in unbalanced and unhealthy relationships. People exposed to Trauma can experience even higher levels of these symptoms and pull away from loved ones without understanding why. Trauma can now be effectively treated with EMDR in much less time than expected
I have been a licensed, practicing therapist for eighteen years and love working with individuals, families and couples who are seeking to improve their lives and relationships. I am an EMDR trained therapist. I also offer Equine Assisted Therapy for those looking for an alternative approach. I also provide tele-health sessions for clients in North Carolina
