Announcement icon I am currently providing sessions via telehealth due to COVID-19.
I understand change is difficult and it takes courage to seek support. In our work together, I will listen to your unique concerns and tailor therapy to your particular needs. I enjoy working with thoughtful, creative individuals who are interested in learning more about themselves.
I have been successful in treating issues related to self-esteem and self-worth, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and the transition to parenthood. I frequently work with young adults during life transitions feeling "stuck," "uncertain," or "not good enough." I also specialize in working with new parents around the adjustment to parenthood.
I am in-network with BCBS PPO. My office is located in the downtown Chicago loop near several "el" stops and the metra.

Professional Connections

I have known Elizabeth Marklein, MA, LCPC for five years. She was my student while she was in Graduate School and also when she enrolled in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program at the Institute for Psychoanalysis. She is empathic, very bright and skilled. She is committed to the highest quality of clinical work and I would recommend her highly.

Elizabeth is a compassionate, thoughtful therapist who exhibits dedication to her clients. She's a calm and steady presence who will work hard with you to ensure you are getting what you need from therapy.
