I have experience working with couples and individuals on communication, emotional expression, sexual concerns, attachment and family issues, and relationship boundaries. I work with clients who have experienced childhood trauma or difficulty creating meaningful longterm relationships with others and also enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ population, couples, and nontraditional, open, or non monogamous relationships. I enjoy helping people differentiate what they want for themselves from what others have put on them and creating a life that feel fulfilling and sustainable for them.
I am a relational therapist, meaning that I aim to build a relationship with you first and foremost where you can explore your authentic, genuine self. I believe therapy needs to mold itself to fit the needs of those involved- we work on what you want to work on, not what anyone else thinks you should work on.
Therapy doesn't have to a tumultuous, emotionally vulnerable and raw experience. It can be a reparative relationship that allows you to connect genuinely, on your terms. I may be a professional by training, but you are the expert on your lived emotional experience, and I always keep that in the forefront.
