My career began as a middle school teacher. I made a shift to counseling, and worked with adolescents in crisis, which launched a professional focus on trauma-based experiences. I am EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) trained; a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the emotional distress that results from those experiences.
