About
To honestly know yourself is to pursue a lifelong journey of self-exploration, to gain a deeper understanding of oneself in the wake of life events, and, especially, to be willing to share with others who may be navigating a similar quest-- or even with those who are able to extend a great deal of empathy. This may be tough, scary work, but the rewards are invaluable, to put it lightly. You gain a deeper sense of freedom and autonomy to decide how you want to live, and truly become the author of your own story.
My role is to facilitate a space in which clients feel free to explore opportunities that maximize their potential, gain a deeper sense of self, reflect on responsibility in decision making, foster a sense of resilience, and uncover what meaning they may or may not give to their life; while integrating culturally sensitive, humanistic styles and techniques.
My specialty training includes LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy (SMU), Sex Therapist certification in progress (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors & Therapists / AASECT), Indigenous Circle of Wellness certification in progress (The So'oh-Shináli Sister Project). I'm currently under the supervision of Scott Martin, LPC-S.
