I am a somatic, systemic therapist providing therapy in OR and WA and nationwide hEDS/HSD support groups. I primarily work with clients focusing on chronic illness and identity, though I also see clients who are working on anxiety, grief, trauma, navigating neurodivergence, and more. As a Marriage & Family Therapist Associate, I have additional training in working with couples and other relationships experiencing problems with communication, conflict, and navigating chronic illness and other systemic stressors. For clients located in Washington, I can accept Aetna, Cigna, First Choice, Kaiser, Premera, and Regence/BCBS insurances.
I use social justice & somatic therapy techniques to help clients address current problems and build skills to address challenges that arise down the road. Other theories I may use include existential therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
It is a very stressful time to live in, and many people are finding that their old coping strategies no longer work as well as they used to. Online drop-in support group on 2nd & 4th Wednesdays from 6-7pm PST for people throughout the United States who are ages 18+ and have confirmed or suspected Hypermobile Spectrum Disorder (HSD) or hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS). Meet more people with hypermobility, build community, and share resources! Pay $25 or a sliding scale rate per group; no-cost group spaces are also available.
