In my practice I start by meeting a client where he or she is. I help clients identify and address the issues that are most pressing to them in the moment. I offer support and encouragement where my clients want to grow and change. I am skilled in addressing a variety of issues a client may be facing. I am comfortable and confident in treating trauma associated with abuse, neglect, and sexual assault. Additionally, I treat clients facing stage of life changes including, marriages, divorces, raising children, job changes, death of a loved one.
Treating sexual assault requires specific skills and understanding. I can to identify where clients are ready to start healing and where they need more time to be able to do so. I also understand the complicating family dynamics that add to the struggle of healing from a sexual abuse experience.
I have spent many years of my career working intensely with people who have faced serious and multiple traumatic events in their lives. I understand the layers of emotional and behavioral changes that can happen for a client who has had these types of experiences.
