Therapy can help you realize your best possible self by helping build skills and capabilities that support happy, meaningful and fulfilling lives. In our fast paced, productivity obsessed culture, it's easy to get off track and one day wake up to realize you're not living the life you wanted. There are so many forces at work on us, including oppressive systemic forces and their effects (fear, anger, perfectionism, self-judgement, imposter syndrome, etc). Therapy can be a bolster and a support - a means to explore values and goals, reconnect with your values and create the life you want.
I use both talk therapy and somatic / mindfulness based approaches to help people become more fully embodied. Passionate about assisting women manage multiple roles and challenges in effective and meaningful ways, I specialize in trauma recovery, mixed-culture experience, stress management, high sensitivity, meditation/spirituality & empathic fatigue.
With training in Hakomi, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Buddhist Psychology, Narrative / Post Modern therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Feminist Psychology, IFS, TFCBT and Trauma Sensitive Yoga, among other modalities, I use an eclectic approach tailored specifically to your needs. Collaboration is key and together we can co-create positive change!
