I specialize in working with children and teens using play, games, and talk therapy techniques based on each individual's needs. I work with young people who are struggling with daily issues, such as anger, anxiety, or sadness as well as those experiencing life changes like death of a family member or parental divorce. My primary goal is to help every client understand how worthy and capable they are without having to change the core of who they are. I have experience with neurodivergent individuals and members of the LGBTQ+ community and will always be a fierce advocate. I also work with parents to help them support their children.
I use a developmental and person-centered approach that allows me to meet every client exactly where they are. For younger children, this is often done with play therapy. As kids get older, I incorporate more art and games, allowing my clients to get comfortable and not feel the pressure often associated with discussing personal details with a stranger!
I know how scary and vulnerable it can feel to reach out. I will always be honest and open about the therapy process, and if I'm not the right fit I will help you find it. I am ready to listen, understand, and empower you and your child. Please reach out to me with any questions you may have, or if you're ready to set up an appointment!
