Hi! My name is Elisabeth and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I believe that my job as a therapist is to create a space of safety, comfort, and acceptance. Each person is different which means I will use the approach best fit for your needs as we collaborate on reaching your goals in therapy. While I have experience with most types of clients and backgrounds, I find myself most often working with teens, folks in leadership positions, in the helping professions, and those who have experienced spiritual abuse or religious trauma.
Goal setting should be collaborative. This is your space. Goals will be discussed and ultimately decided on by you. I will respect what you wish to focus on and offer support as you work to get to the place you came into therapy for.
During the first session, you will get to know me and I will work to build comfort and rapport with you. This is a time of creating a safe space and making sure you feel I am the right fit to join the journey you are on. There will be no pressure to share anything you aren't ready to share.
