Elisabeth is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She holds a BA with a major in Psychology from Emory University, and an MA from New York University's School of Social Work, a post-graduate certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the New York Freudian Society, and a post-graduate certificate in Psychoanalysis from the Contemporary Freudian Society. She is a member of NASW, WMHC and is a fellow of the IPA. Elisabeth has over 15 years experience treating children, adults and families in settings such as inpatient psychiatric units, outpatient hospital clinics, schools and in her private practice.
In her private practice, Elisabeth works with mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, substance issues, relationship/marital conflict, divorce, parenting issues, grief and loss, school/career stagnation/inhibition, and maladaptive patterns of behavior. She offers individual, couple and family therapy.
Elisabeth provides individualized treatment and views the therapeutic relationship as a working collaboration. She helps clients think critically and reflectively in order better understand themselves, achieve their goals, and develop a general feeling of well being and empowerment.
