About
I understand that the choice of a therapist is an important one. The trust that is built between the client and the therapist is important in determining how helpful therapy can be. I work hard to create a supportive therapeutic environment. I believe in providing a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere and encourage people to talk at a pace that is comfortable for them. I believe that an individual has the ability to learn to do things differently and feel better. I use techniques associated with the widely recognized cognitive behavioral theory as well as those from family system's theory.
I have over ten years of experience helping clients of all ages learn about and decrease symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma and many other issues. I have helped couples and families improve their relationships by improving their anger management and communication skills and learning more effective parenting strategies.
I can generally schedule people quickly and offer convenient morning, afternoons or evening appointments. A confidential voicemail can be left at any time. I offer flexible payment options and accept most major insurances. My office is within a short driving distance of St. Louis and the communities of Edwardsville, Belleville, Highland and the surrounding areas.
