The toll of painful past experiences and stresses of everyday living can leave people feeling down, worried, overwhelmed, lonely, and exhausted. I believe that working through these challenges in therapy can help people feel a greater sense of well being, agency, and connection. I see both individuals and couples in my practice. Some come to therapy in emotional or relationship crisis while others have felt stuck or disconnected for a long time.
My approach typically involves attachment and relationship work along with tools to help clients better manage painful emotions and self-defeating behaviors. My specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma, couples therapy, and therapy for clients with medical conditions. I also provide specialized guidance in caregiver stress and parenting difficulties.
I have twenty years of experience as a therapist, twelve in hospital settings and eight in private practice. One of the most exciting aspects of my job is that I keep learning. I try to stay current with evidence-based interventions and continue to learn from my clients every day.
