Life was never meant to be fair - just ask the wildness of nature. Life is filled with joy and sadness; love and grief. This is part of being human. How do we find purpose and meaning in life? We're born with a unique gift; we're wounded by life. Our core wound lies beside our unique gift, our purpose. Our responsibility is to give this gift to our family, friends, community. This underlies all of my work with you as we peel back the layers: what is it you bring to us? It lies beside your deepest pain, regret, what frightens you the most. Our work together is to change your relationship to that wound so you can give your gift.
I have been part of the mens’ movement for over 30 years as a participant, facilitator and co-facilitator. I co-founded a high school for At-Risk students, Mesa High School, teaching and mentoring for 25 years. My specialty is working with those in crisis whose lives and relationships no longer make sense. I am direct, authentic and care deeply.
My goal is to help you access that unique gift by helping you become psychologically flexible, by helping you change your relationship to your core wound so you can tolerate that pain/discomfort/fear. Avoiding your triggers isn’t healing. Healing happens when you’re triggered and yet able to move through the pain, the pattern, & the story: to a new meaning.
