I became a therapist because I saw early on how men are conditioned not to practice emotional vulnerability and I wanted to model something different in my own life. In the decade since I started down this path, I've met many people grappling with social expectations as I have. My experience working with clients of all backgrounds has reaffirmed for me that, while we all lead very different lives, today's world nudges each of us towards feelings of isolation, anxiety, insecurity, and overwhelm. If you're feeling stuck, burnt out, or just want a nonjudgmental space to explore your emotional landscape, let's chat.
In therapy, we will use a variety of tools and approaches as we strike the perfect balance between holding you accountable to the goals YOU set while embracing patience and self-love. Crying is optional, laughter is (usually) encouraged (hopefully those of you who use jokes to avoid difficult conversations already know who you are!).
I believe therapy is NOT a magic wand, just a tool for accessing the good stuff: healthy relationships, intentional living, and being present. The reasons why those things feel out of reach may vary, but our thoughts and feelings usually make sense in the context of our lives. Together, we'll explore your unique context as we consider new ways of being.
