You have a Teen coping with social and academic demands such as you’ve never faced. Academic and social pressure are at an all-time high. You worry how they are coping, but they aren’t exactly an open book. Were you? Or you're an Adult navigating the demands of career and family. You weren’t prepared for the difficulties of life in this day and age; how could you be? These are weird times. You feel it: the tension, the effort it takes to hold it together. You feel “wound up,” tense, on edge or have trouble turning your mind off. You feel discouraged, unsure, self-critical. Maybe your emotions and behavior seem “off.” Need a hand?
I practice Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) within a psychodynamic framework. Focusing on the behavior and thoughts of the individual, my process is to explore how previously learned beliefs, values, and experiences shaped present functioning and address maladaptive thoughts and behavior by assisting you with developing strategies that make sense to you.
