My name is Elena Medvedovski. I am a Clinical Director of the group practice 'Power of Connection'. It is built on the premise that all people are engaged in meaningful relationships throughout their lives. Starting with early relationships with our own families, followed by connections with teachers, and friends, we develop a unique attachment style, impacts our creativity and inspiration. Our practice is focused on empowering clients to improve the meaningful connections in their lives - with themselves and with their significant others through psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is a powerful tool for self-transformation, which achieved through a better understanding of oneself.
My clinical approach is deeply rooted in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic practices. My relationship with my patients is a journey of self-exploration shedding a new light to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This process contributes to patient's evolving sense of insight, into the internal freedom that affects the intensity of their emotional experiences.
I believe the psychoanalytic approach is one of the most effective methods in couples therapy. Combination of psychoanalytic method and "system theory" allows couples to explore their internal conflicts, mutual attachments and communication styles. In addition, am a certified provider for the "floor time" method for children with autism.
