Our connections to others help to define who we are and sometimes, despite our best efforts, our relationships can cause significant anxiety and stress. I have over 15 years of experience helping people navigate their relationships. I love to work with people struggling around decisions around intimacy and commitment, new parents struggling with demands of life with a baby, and with anyone suffering from social anxiety or loneliness and wanting to feel more connected to others. I enjoy working with all genders and with people from a variety of backgrounds.
I have advanced training in perinatal mental health as well as family and couples therapy that helps me understand the dynamics at play in people's relationships. I also sometimes use a somatic and experiential approach that helps people slow down and tune into what they are really feeling in the moment, which often helps bypass unhelpful rumination.
I feel honored to be invited into my client's lives, who are bravely facing parts of themselves that they may at times prefer to avoid. I try to bring humor and humility to my work. I love learning about the practice of psychotherapy and am always trying to grow through training, reading, and ongoing supervision.
