Back to school! This season can be such an intimidating time for students (and parents). The anxiety, the social dynamics, the exhaustion can all feel like too much.
I'm Ellie, a private practice therapist located in downtown Colorado Springs passionate about supporting and guiding the wellbeing of pre-teens, teens and young adults. I love to work with young people moving through relationship hurt and attachment struggles, unprocessed trauma that may be causing anxiety or depression symptoms, life changes or adjustments, and more. It is truly such a privilege to walk alongside those facing life's many many challenges.
Relationship is my priority in therapy. An incredible amount of research will tell you the importance of the "therapeutic alliance" when it comes to mental health care (especially with teens!). This is why I use person-centered therapy techniques alongside solution-focused therapy. Building an authentic and real relationship allows for real healing!
