I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients ranging in age from 13 to 65+. I find great joy in helping individuals discover a deeper love and understanding of themselves while also learning how to better cope with the often chaotic tendencies of life. Utilizing a holistic approach, I offer clients the space to explore their inner strengths through mindfulness, play, art, developmentally based theories and other evidence-based practices.

I have served in the helping professions for several years and has had the opportunity to work with a multitude of populations. I completed my first degree in Industrial and organizational psychology and successfully guided many individual businesses to start existing in their purpose. After completing this Journey, I returned and received my second degree in Professional counseling and has since worked with teens, Adults and Seniors to address the needs they have related to esteem, goals and their identified purpose.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor in Tyler Texas. In 2019, earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at Tyler. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas in 2003.

My ideal client is someone who is interested in investing in themselves. The mission of my professional life is to change and improve the quality of people's lives so that they will get more satisfaction from their personal, family and work relationships. My education and years of experience help me to form a therapeutic alliance with clients, find solutions and build strengths to maintain the personal growth they achieve. I believe that treating anxiety, depression and trauma is a collaborative process that is achieved by a variety of best practice techniques based on both science and common sense.

Deciding to begin therapy can be a vulnerable time in life. I am here to help you, as your therapist, identify your goals, find your strengths, and implement healthy coping skills. I work with children, adults, and families to focus on healing. I enjoy working with all ages, and specialize in working with children (and their caregivers) and individuals with an abuse history. In therapy, we will utilize your strengths and interests, such as art or play for children, to individualize treatment!

Throughout 33 years of counseling, I believe in the formation of a working relationship between myself and my client - represents a cornerstone of treatment, both in the service of engaging my client to mobilize their energies and to help foster a sense of optimism about treatment. I strive to see each client as an individual with sensitivity to each person's background and therapeutic needs.

I enjoy working with the full life span (my client's ages range from 2-years-old to 94-years-old) through a wide variety of concerns. I consider it a deep honor to be entrusted on your path to wellness and enjoy when you are able to pursue wholeness, even when you have no words. It is my honor to walk alongside my clients toward hope and healing from a variety of complex experiences, including attachment concerns, prolonged grieving, adoption issues, challenging parenting situations, vicarious trauma, and complex trauma & dissociation, including dissociative identity disorder.
